Dr. Stuart Markovitz earned his BA degree from Washington and Jefferson College and graduated from West Virginia University School of Medicine in 1978. He completed his specialty training in Internal Medicine at the California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco and then practiced Internal Medicine in the Silicon Valley for 35 years before opening Charleston Men's Clinic. He believes in the power of concierge medical care, which focuses on finding and treating the root cause of the issue, as opposed to a one-size-fits-all approach.
I went to the College of Charleston and received a BS in Biology and then went to MUSC receiving an MD in 1989. I did my family practice residency training at the University of Tennessee Medical Center hospital in Knoxville 1989-1992 and then moved back to Charleston and practiced family medicine from 1992 to 2022. I was board certified in Family Medicine in 1992 and recertified in 1999, 2006 and 2016. I joined the staff at Charleston Men’s Clinic in August. My hobbies are gardening, playing guitar and playing with my puppies. I speak some Spanish and am fairly fluent in Greek.
Stacey grew up surrounded by medicine, inspired by her father, Dr. Markovitz, whose dedication to patient care left a lasting impression. While studying business, she developed strong skills in management and strategy but realized her true passion lies in healthcare. She became deeply invested in ensuring patients not only receive exceptional care but also feel valued and supported. This journey led her to pursue certifications in aesthetics and wellness, combining her skills and passion to make a meaningful impact.
I was born and raised in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. I enjoyed playing many sports growing up and found the most success playing football and basketball. I moved to Charleston in 2015 as I always desired to live by the coast. I was also tired of having to deal with the cold weather! I have two brothers that still live in the Chicagoland area along with my mother, father, step-mother and step-father. I share a dog named Kali with my roommates. She is very timid and shy which is the exact opposite of myself! My passion for sports has continued throughout my life, but I’m now most passionate about golf. I currently have a single-digit handicap and will play anytime that I’m given the opportunity! My goal is to eventually make the Champions Tour as I’ve given up hope on getting my PGA tour card ;)
